Happy Stuff

So I have been having kind of a crappy day, so I thought I would post some really fun videos on my blog. It's impossible to watch these and not crack a smile! Both of these videos were taken at my parents house. Alma and I went down in August so that Alma could meet all of her cousins. Her boy cousins, Tucker and Payton, live in Pocatello near my parents. Her girl cousins, Kyleigh and Katelyn, live in Hawaii and were in Idaho for a long visit. At some point I will find time to post pictures from the trip - there are so many cute ones to choose from!

The first video is Kyleigh and Katelyn doing a dance. I told them if they did a dance for Alma it would make her happy, so they did. It's really adorable.

The second video is of all the kids playing in the back yard. They all have on matching outfits because GG bought them all new clothes for a group picture. Our cousin John (an aspiring photographer) came over and took over 600 pictures! Some of them are really amazing! This particular video is of the kids pretending to be horses. Somebody said, "Tucker, act like a horse." He immediately got down on all fours and started eating the grass. I love kids!

Finally, Good News!

Today we had an appointment with Alma's doctor for her eighth set of casts. We were expecting to have about four more sets before her surgery, so we were very excited to find out that her surgery has been moved up to next week. This is fantastic news, and means that Alma will only be in casts for about another month! Yeah for Alma!

Happy Birthday Lane!

One of the benefits of living so close to Dan's family is that we get to celebrate a lot of birthday's! This year Lane turned nine - which is crazy because when I met him he was still a little tiny guy. Happy Birthday Lane!

The other day we got to the doctors office and Alma had a VERY wet diaper, so I laid her down to change it and she rolled right over. It was very exciting! She hasn't rolled over again since, but I keep taking videos of her trying in hopes that I will catch the next one on film. She is working really hard on it, I will keep you all updated on her progress.

A Very Sleepy Baby

Alma, like most infants, spends a lot of time sleeping, thus providing us with endless cute sleeping baby photo opportunities. These are a few of our most recent takes.

Deary Days

Every year on the first weekend in August Deary celebrates Deary Days, and whenever we can we try to head out. There is usually a fun band playing on Saturday night and they shut down the street for a street dance. Of course, this year we didn't go to that, since we had to get Alma home and to bed. We did, however, enjoy hot dogs in the park while listening to some fun music. We also went to the school and watched some of Dan's cousins play in the volleyball tournament. Alma got to visit her great grandma and grandpa, her grandma and grandpa, Dan's Godmother Carlene, and she got to meet several second cousins that she has never met before. All in all, it was a very pleasant (albeit hot) afternoon. Alma and grandpa BJ

Mommy and Me

Since Dan already got his own post, I couldn't resist.

Oatmeal britches strikes again!

Shortly after Alma was born Dan dubbed her with the nickname oatmeal britches - I am sure you all can figure out where it came from! Dan doesn't do very well with poopy diapers, in fact, sometimes I really think he might throw up. It is extremely comical, actually. Well today I thought I would take a little video of Alma attempting to roll over, but I never imagined that I was really taking a video of Alma working on a nice full diaper! I am not sure if you will be able to hear it, but there it is.
